A modern, comprehensive AwesomeWM configuration that transforms the lightweight window manager into a fully-featured desktop environment. This project showcases advanced Lua scripting, custom UI design, and seamless system service integration within the NixOS ecosystem.

Architecture and Design

Built with a modular architecture that emphasizes maintainability and extensibility, this configuration demonstrates sophisticated software design principles applied to desktop environment development. The codebase is organized into distinct layers: core functionality, UI components, system services, and theming, creating a clean separation of concerns that enables easy customization and debugging.

The Yerba Buena theme provides a cohesive visual identity with modern design elements including gradients, rounded corners, and smooth animations. Every component follows consistent design patterns, from the subtle hover effects on widgets to the comprehensive icon system that ensures visual harmony across all interfaces.

Control Panel System

The custom control panel serves as the central hub for system management, featuring real-time widgets for audio control, brightness adjustment, network status, and Bluetooth management. Each widget updates dynamically and provides interactive controls with smooth visual feedback.
